Police in Jamkhed taluka of Ahmednagar district have arrested two accused in connection with the brutal murder of a local youth, while one more suspect is still absconding, officials confirmed.
According to police sources, the incident occurred following a personal dispute, which escalated into a violent attack. The accused allegedly assaulted the victim with sharp weapons, leading to his death on the spot. In an attempt to destroy evidence, the attackers reportedly set fire to materials at the crime scene before fleeing.
Acting on technical evidence and local intelligence, Jamkhed police traced and arrested two suspects within a short span of time. Multiple teams have been formed to nab the absconding accused, and search operations are underway across nearby villages.
